Pilot is a sans serif humanist typeface that combines smooth curves and sharp cuts. The x-height ensures good readability even in small body sizes. The ornate version, designed for display lettering and short texts, is characterized by the originality of some letters (“A”, “e” cursive, “I”, “o”, “O”, “t” with the ascenders cut at the x-height). The text version, designed for longer texts and small bodies regularizes those glyphs according to a more used form. Pilot is a traveling typeface, now at its first stop.
